The world wide web has experienced a boom with the emergence of Web 2.0 services in the last few years and has reshaped the ways that people interact over the internet. Cooperation, collaboration, and content sharing as well as connections (social networks) are now at the forefront.

Soon Enterprise 2.0, representing the use of wikis, blogs and social networks for corporate purposes came on the scene. The approaches mentioned are used by ever more modern companies, however frequently in the form of partial solutions.

At Neolab we are amongst the first in Slovenia to offer comprehensive business-information solutions, upgraded with Web 2.0 type services. This means that we upgraded information systems that otherwise cover standard business needs to be used for collaboration and social networking, and built in interesting services, such as mini-feeds, buttons, visualizations and multimedia. Due to the comprehensiveness of the system we have named the concept IT 2.0.

We are convinced that these types of approaches are very useful in various contexts of the business environment, as they ensure employees and management receive information better and faster, that they are easy to use and increase company affiliation.

We received an award for best contribution at the Slovenian IT Days 2009 conference for presenting the previously mentioned approaches and technology.
